General FAQs

Candidates may be contacted by phone or email. All email communication from Ameren will be sent from @Ameren.com. Ameren will never send emails from other service providers such as @gmail.com or @hotmail.com.

Ameren conducts behavioral interviews. A brief phone interview with a Recruiter is typically the first step. Subsequent interviews are typically conducted by panels consisting of hiring leaders.

Ameren does require testing for certain positions and departments. If testing is required, we will give you advance notice to make sure you are appropriately prepared. Review our management and non-management testing information at the bottom of this page.
To ensure you are considered for future opportunities, your resume will be kept in our applicant tracking system for three years. Internship FAQs

Yes, Ameren's collegiate program is focused on helping students grow and develop with hands-on practice pertaining to their education on the job. The purpose of Ameren's collegiate program is to pipeline collegiate co-workers to our entry level full time employment openings.
Internships are offered during the summer months from May – August. Although, Ameren mostly runs their collegiate program on co-op opportunities. The co-op openings are either scheduled January – August or May – December.
Yes. All collegiate opportunities are paid at an hourly rate based upon the role and your year in school. In addition to your hourly rate of pay, if you are working 50+ miles away from your home and school address, you will be awarded a housing stipend. Yes, a transcription will be required. When this is needed, you will be contacted by an Ameren coworker to submit with specific instructions.
Yes. Ameren fully supports helping students receive college credit. However, it depends on the individual's college program. Please check with your career services office at your college or university.
Our core business hours are typically from 8am-5pm. Most collegiate coworkers work a full time schedule (40 hours a week). The specifics around this schedule depend on location/department and will be outlined by your supervisor.
