Submit a Resume and Create Job Alerts

  • Log into your Workday candidate homepage or create a new profile.
  • View the list of jobs. Click on a specific job title link to view more details. (Job titles are not always reflective of the position. You may want to click on all of the Job Title links to ensure you don’t miss an opportunity to find a position you would like to apply for.)
  • Select the position or positions you would like to apply for and click Apply Now. (You can apply for more than one position.)
  • You also have the option to sign up for Job Alerts within your Workday candidate home page.
    • Simply select "Job Alerts" at the upper right-hand corner of the home page.
    • You will be linked to a "Manage Job Alerts" page which allows you to create alerts for each position of interest.

General FAQs

Candidates may be contacted by phone or email. All email communication from Ameren will be sent from @Ameren.com. Ameren will never send emails from other service providers such as @gmail.com or @hotmail.com.

Ameren conducts behavioral interviews. A brief phone interview with a Recruiter is typically the first step. Subsequent interviews are typically conducted by panels consisting of hiring leaders.

Enter your employment history beginning with your most recent employment. If you have no employment history, enter today's date in the ‘From’ and check 'I currently work here'. Then in the 'Role Description' provide some brief information about your background. If you have been employed at more than one employer, press the "Add" button. After saving, if there are missing required fields an Error Message will appear directing you to the required fields.
Type in the School or University attended. Use the drop down menu to select the degree/type of education. You can also search for specific 'Fields of Study' but this is not required. To add additional education information press the 'Add' button.

AMEREN is a federal contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974, as amended by the Jobs for Veterans Act of 2002, 38 U.S.C. 4212 (“VEVRAA”), which requires contractors to take affirmative action to employ and advance in employment:

Your application will be reviewed and our hiring team will select the most qualified candidates that meet the requirements for the next step, which is generally testing or an interview depending on the role. You can track your status for each position you have applied by referring back to your Workday candidate profile.

Ameren does require testing for certain positions and departments. If testing is required, we will give you advance notice to make sure you are appropriately prepared. Review our management and non-management testing information at the bottom of this page.
To ensure you are considered for future opportunities, your resume will be kept in our applicant tracking system for three years. You need to apply for each position of interest as they become available. To make sure you are aware of new opportunities, you can create a Workday candidate profile which will alert you to new openings.

Internship FAQs

Yes, Ameren's collegiate program is focused on helping students grow and develop with hands-on practice pertaining to their education on the job. The purpose of Ameren's collegiate program is to pipeline collegiate co-workers to our entry level full time employment openings.
Internships are offered during the summer months from May – August. Although, Ameren mostly runs their collegiate program on co-op opportunities. The co-op openings are either scheduled January – August or May – December.
Yes. All collegiate opportunities are paid at an hourly rate based upon the role and your year in school. In addition to your hourly rate of pay, if you are working 50+ miles away from your home and school address, you will be awarded a housing stipend. Additional benefits are listed on our Intern and Co-op page

Yes, a transcription will be required. When this is needed, you will be contacted by an Ameren coworker to submit with specific instructions.
Yes. Ameren fully supports helping students receive college credit. However, it depends on the individual's college program. Please check with your career services office at your college or university.
Our core business hours are typically from 8am-5pm. Most collegiate coworkers work a full time schedule (40 hours a week). The specifics around this schedule depend on location/department and will be outlined by your supervisor.
