Supplemental Arrearage Reduction Program
The Supplemental Arrearage Reduction Program (SARP) helps customers, who have already applied for LIHEAP, to reduce their outstanding energy bills. Income-qualified customers can get up to $2,000 annually in deferred balance credits for electric and natural gas bills.
How it Works

Once you're enrolled, all eligible current and past-due amounts will combine into your SARP total deferred balance. You'll also be enrolled in Budget Billing Rollover to even out future monthly payments.

For each monthly payment made in full by the due date, your account will receive a credit towards the SARP deferred balance.

The Supplemental Arrearage Reduction Program is not available for Missouri customers.
How to Apply

If you already receive benefits from LIHEAP

You can check your eligibility by logging in to your online Ameren Illinois account. If you're eligible to enroll, you'll see the option on your account dashboard and can complete your enrollment there.

If you have not received a LIHEAP benefit

If you have not applied for LIHEAP benefits, check out the program requirements and find an agency in your area to learn more.
