Lonza L. Bufford, Jr.
Supplier Diversity Executive
Prior to joining the Supplier Diversity team, Bufford worked as a strategic sourcing analyst for Generation and Vegetation Management departments. In this role, he coordinated the competitive bid process by issuing Request For Information (RFI) and Request for Proposals (RFP) to perspective suppliers, and led cross-functional teams to select companies to bid on projects, analyze proposals and select winners of sourcing events. Previous roles Bufford has worked at Ameren include financial specialist for Generation, senior accountant and accountant for Nuclear Operations and a credit representative for Customer Service.
Bufford, a St. Louis native, earned a bachelor’s of science degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri - Columbia and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. Bufford is a Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD) and Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), receiving certifications from the Institute of Supply Management, Inc. Bufford is also a Project Management Professional (PMP), receiving certification from the Project Management Institute.
Bufford served as a United Way Torchlighter during Ameren's Fall 2011 fundraising campaign, speaking to audiences about United Way’s impact on citizens in the city of St. Louis.
