Supplier Diversity Process

Ameren’s sourcing process is designed to provide and increase opportunities for businesses that are certified as minority (i.e., African American, Asian Pacific American, Asian Sub-Continent American, Hispanic American, and Native American)-, women-, veteran-, LGBT- and service disabled veteran-owned enterprises.

Ameren increases opportunities for diverse suppliers by:

  • Providing certified diverse suppliers access to bid opportunities within our procurement process
  • Connecting diverse suppliers to Tier 1 contractors and Ameren decision makers
  • Requesting and scoring prime subcontracting plans on all major contract opportunities

Key steps to participating in Ameren's procurement processes:

  1. Complete Ameren’s Supplier Diversity registration form. To secure Ameren contracts, all suppliers, including diverse suppliers, must meet specific qualification requirements including technical, operational and safety standards.
  2. Communicate directly with the supplier diversity executive who handles your specific area of expertise to determine an appropriate approach for broadening your visibility within Ameren
  3. Participate actively in Ameren's supplier diversity outreach events, training programs and special initiatives so that you are exposed to real time information that can help to grow your business with Ameren.
  4. Ensure that your company remains current and in good standing with at least one of the organizations listed below.
  5. Respond promptly and completely to requests for information or requests for proposals
