Examples of Our Philanthropic Initiatives

Power Play Goals for Kids

When the St. Louis Blues score, kids' charities score. Ameren Missouri donates $500 for every power play goal the Blues score, at home or away, during the regular season. Then fans vote on which local charity will benefit from the donation. The Super Sam Foundation received $31,500 from this program, helping them provide care packages for children with cancer and their families.

AmerenCares Equity in the Arts

In August 2022, Ameren Missouri, in partnership with the Arts and Education Council, announced the recipients of the inaugural AmerenCares Equity in the Arts Philanthropic Grant Program. In total, 15 grant recipients were awarded a total of nearly $150,000.

About the Program

This program works to provide funding to historically underrepresented and underfunded nonprofit organizations that are racially and ethnically diverse. The AmerenCares Equity in the Arts grants are an intentional effort to expand awareness of the importance of diversity in the arts, arts performance and arts educational programs throughout our service territory in Missouri.

COST Program

Through the COST (Creating Opportunities, Salvaging Treasures) program, gently used items are brought to community organizations instead of a landfill. In 2021, COST donated more than $1 million in these salvaged materials to organizations in Missouri and Illinois. Interested in Ameren's COST program? Contact amerencarescost@ameren.com.
