Vehicle Safety

Safety Tips

  • If your vehicle comes in contact with natural gas facilities, turn off the engine and get out of the car as soon as possible.
  • Do not try to move the vehicle. Get as far away as possible from the area of impact.
  • After you have evacuated the area, call 911 or the fire department immediately.
  • Even if you hit a line and there is not an apparent leak, it is still possible there could be secondary damage around the site. Contact Ameren to immediately assess the situation.
