Mark Twain Transmission Project

The Mark Twain Transmission Project will improve grid reliability, relieve congestion to the energy grid, meet local energy needs and promote renewable energy, such as wind power. In addition, the project is expected to generate millions of dollars in economic activity and annual tax revenues to northeast Missouri to support communities in the five counties where the line will be located.

ATXI will cite these benefits and submit the final route selection in an application to the Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC). If the PSC grants ATXI a certificate of convenience and necessity, construction of the Mark Twain Transmission Project is scheduled to begin in 2018 with a targeted in-service date of December 2019.

If your property is located on the proposed new route, you will be contacted by a member of Contract Land Staff. This group has been hired by ATXI to assist landowners with real estate matters.

If you have questions about the proposed new route process, please contact us via the toll-free number or email address provided on the right. We welcome your input.
