The Low-Income Credit Adjustment (LICA) is a rider that is being assessed to all customers – both residential and non-residential – who receive natural gas service from Ameren Illinois. It is the result of a Low-Income Discount study that was completed by the Illinois Commerce Commission as required in the state’s energy law. Ameren Illinois is mandated to assess the LICA charge. Any Ameren Illinois natural gas customer – residential and non-residential – will be assessed the Low-Income Credit Adjustment charge.
The LICA rate will remain fixed from October of 2024 to June of 2025. It will reset in June of each year.
