Generating Clean Energy Using Solar Power

O'Fallon Renewable Energy Center

With more than 19,000 solar panels, our O'Fallon Renewable Energy Center is the largest investor-owned universal solar facility in Missouri.

bullet Our multi-crystalline solar panels span an area approximately the size of 19 football fields, allowing us to collect nearly 8 million kilowatt-hours of energy from the sun’s rays every year.

The facility began delivering carbon-free energy to our customers in December 2014, with a generation capacity of 5.7 megawatts.

We've continued to invest in our premiere solar field by installing smart technology that allows us to operate and monitor the renewable energy center remotely, so we can find and fix problems fast.

The O’Fallon Renewable Energy Center is just one way that we’re focused on securing Missouri’s energy future. We’re also investing in wind, landfill gas, hydroelectric and other cleaner energy sources.
