Permit Instructions for Lake Homeowners

Every permit applicant must have an account within our permit system.

Ameren customers with an existing Ameren.com account can use the same login and password to access Ameren.flairdocs.com/prod.

Ameren customers without an Ameren.com account or non-Ameren customers, create an account at Ameren.flairdocs.com/prod by following these instructions.

  • Authorize users: Homeowners can authorize Certified Dock Builders and Realtors to apply for your permits. To allow access, follow these steps.
  • Apply for permits: Once your account is created, apply for lake permits.
    • Please note: You may apply for multiple permits on one application. However, you may not apply for multiple permits of the same type on an application. For example, you may apply for a dock and a pump permit but you may not apply for two dock permits on the same application.
  • Transfer permits: Once you have created your permit account or logged into your existing account, follow these instructions.
  • Pay Invoice: Pay all invoices including annual use fees via the online portal following these steps.
  • Permit copies: Download a copy of your permit by following these instructions.
  • Paid receipts: Download a copy of your paid receipt by following these instructions.

Instructions for Realtors and Certified Dock Builders

Realtors and Certified Dock Builders who are Ameren customers with an existing Ameren.com account can use the same login and password to access Ameren.flairdocs.com/prod. Then proceed to Step 4 of the account creation instructions.

Realtors and Certified Dock Builders who are Ameren customers but do not have an Ameren.com account or are non-Ameren customers, must first set up an account at Ameren.flairdocs.com/prod before helping clients.

  • Once your account is created, you may create your clients' account by following these instructions for Realtors and Certified Dock Builders.
  • Take care when applying for permits. If you apply for your client's permits from within your Realtor or Certified Dock Builder account, you will be the permit holder. If this occurs, you will need to apply for a permit transfer, causing an unnecessary delay and expense.
